Fun with FireBug: Quick Peek

If you using the Inspect button to mouse around the page for an element to inspect, you can use the escape key to cancel out of the mode and return the inspector to its previous state. This doesn't sound that interesting, but it does permit one very convenient trick.

If you want to keep the FireBug closed while you browse, but often get the urge to take a quick peek at the source of something on a page, you can hit the Inspect button (or Command/Control-Shift-C), peek at a few elements, and then hit escape to close FireBug again and exit Inspect mode all at once.
