The process of ripping my CD collection has turned up some old albums that I hadn't listened to in years. Great stuff from my angsty high school indie rock days. It's weird to think of bands like Pavement, Madder Rose, and Velocity Girl as "oldies", but alas, it's been almost 10 years now....

Speaking of Pavement, I was watching some show on MTV the other day, and they had some teenager trying to sweet talk a girl by telling her about how Pavement's Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain is his favorite CD. What does this punk think he is, old skewl? That's not right. Pavement didn't land me any chicks when I was in high school, and it shouldn't work in 2002 either.
