It's always amusing to watch the pop stars of today struggling to stay afloat while the trends in music change. The latest shift is from the teen pop thing back to "rock" (whatever that is), and while legit rock bands (like The Vines) are getting a lot of air time, there are also the obvious poseurs (like Pink and Jennifer Love Hewitt) prancing around in front of a wall of guitars.

I saw the most hilarious example of this on MTV today; Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys launching his solo career, performing with a full guitar/bass/drums band and trying to sing like a rock star. Who ever said MTV doesn't know comedy?
